March 30 is National Doctors’ Day, a time to recognize the heroic measures doctors take to keep their communities safe and healthy. We would like to personally thank the remarkable physicians at NW Indiana ER & Hospital!

Our incredible team of emergency physicians go above and beyond to put our patients first. Get to Know Our Extraordinary Doctors

Dr. Scott Samlan

With more than 15 years of practicing Emergency Medicine, Dr. Samlan is Board Certified and recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine. His experience has earned him an outstanding reputation for problem-solving, improving client and patient satisfaction, and driving overall operational improvements. Over the years, he has received numerous honors, such as being awarded “Top Physician in Patient Satisfaction” by Advocate Sherman for three consecutive years. 

Fun fact: When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and son, boxing, and cheering on the Chicago Bears. 

Dr. Daniel Irving

Dr. Irving is a proven leader with nearly 15 years of experience. He completed the emergency medicine residency at New York-Presbyterian Queens, where he was elected chief resident by peers and faculty. He is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. His insights and expertise have been published in Emergency Medicine Essentials and the Tarascon Global Health Pocket Guide. 

Fun fact: He loves the great outdoors and has a passion for surfing, mountain and road biking, and photography. 

Dr. Adam Glassman

Dr. Glassman has spent over 10 years at healthcare organizations in the Midwest. Throughout his career, he has served as a resident lecturer and contributed to articles in leading research publications. He is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, with additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support and advanced trauma life support. 

Fun fact: He is fluent in Spanish. 

Dr. Matthew Freeman

Dr. Freeman has practiced medicine for over 10 years, serving as a physician in eight different states after graduating from residency. He earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine then completed his residency at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Freeman’s colleagues know him as a motivated, compassionate, and family-oriented individual who strives to provide a very high level of care for his patients.   

Fun fact: He enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures, which inspired his path and gave him a unique perspective on emergency medicine. 

Dr. Will Curry

Dr. Curry has been an emergency physician for over 10 years. He is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Curry is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Emergency Medicine Residents Association. He is a proud dog owner and cooking enthusiast as well. 

Fun fact: In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and golf.
